SVdP operates the largest food pantry in the Midwest serving an average of 3000 households per week with an all-volunteer staff. Volunteers assist clients in grocery selections, counting/bagging/loading groceries, hand out food items, retrieve shopping carts, direct traffic, greet clients, etc. Working the entire 4 hour shift is preferred but whatever time a volunteer can give would be appreciated. Check in with the manager on duty upon arrival for your assignment for the day.
SJA is asked to provide volunteers on the following days: 2/13, 3/27, 5/8, 6/19, 7/31, 9/11, 10/23, and 12/4 although your help would be welcome any time during the week as well. Contact the food pantry directly at 921-5769 or info@svdpindy.org for more information.
